Zachary Pareizs is a film and theatre director, writer, actor, and producer based out of Augusta, Georgia.
Zachary graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degrees in Theatre Studies and Entertainment Media Studies. 
His original play, NIGHT OF THE LIVING GRADUATE! was staged site-specifically by the theatre group EXPLODE, modeled after 13P. He has directed numerous productions, from classic musicals to world premieres. He has worked at The Keegan Theatre as a teaching artist and partnered with the Young Playwrights’ Theater to teach theatre for D.C. public school summer students. 
His short film “m.a.d.” was in the official selection at the London International Motion Picture Awards, and he received an Arts in Community Award from the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission to direct, produce, and write the short film “HAÜS: 12 Exercises in Paranoia.” 
Zachary has developed and presented research on Developing a Queer Aesthetic, Translation’s Impact on Performance, Meyerhold & Biomechanics, The Intersections of Queerness and Mental Health on the Stage, and Creating Virtual Immersive Theatre. He has also studied at the Kennedy Center Directing Institute and the Studio Acting Conservatory.
Zachary was the first full-time drama teacher at Westside High School where he taught Theatre Fundamentals, Acting, and Technical Theatre. He directed after-school theatre in over 12 productions, led field trips, and enriched the artistic lives of countless students. He received his Masters in Theatre Education and teaching certificate from Columbus State University.
Currently, Zachary is the Standardized Patient Educator at a premiere medical school, training actors to act as patients and nurses in labs and assessments for the medical students. This job allows Zachary to use theatre and acting to help the next generation of healthcare professionals become experts in diagnosing illnesses, delivering bad news, having the proper bedside manner, and so much more.
